Damaged Right Out Of The Box is a humorous and wistful memoir that chronicles a life shaped by the improbable. The journey begins at birth, when a doctor’s forceps leave a permanent indentation on my forehead—symbolically marking me “damaged” from the start. The narrative follows my evolution from the son of Ukrainian immigrants to a newspaperman and space systems editor. Blending the ordinary with the extraordinary, I reflect on my Colorado roots, career shifts, and “flukish” successes that defined my path. It is an engaging, everyman tale told with the wit and perspective of a storyteller.
